Sweet Summer Surprises

Hi again!  I'm back again, as promised, with my Digi Bells DT post.  It is my turn to post some inspiration over on the Digi Bells DT blog.  My card today features the adorable "Sweetest Surprises" from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection. Who wouldn't love to be sitting daydreaming with a big ice cream cone?

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Bermuda Bay and the fun patterned papers are from the Echo Park Summer Bliss 6x6 pad.  I printed the cute image on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added a bit of Stickles to the flowers and butterfly and Glossy Accents to the cherry on the cone.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few fun flower buttons and a simple blow finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for coming by again! Be sure to visit the Digi Bells blog every day for wonderful inspiration from the Digi Bells and GDT with the beautiful images from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection.

Guest Designer - Sweet Pea Stamps

Good morning, again! It's a more respectable morning hour now and I'm back, as promised, with a special post today.  I am thrilled to tell you that I was invited to be one of the June Guest Designers on the Sweet Pea Stamps blog!  You know I love Sweet Pea Stamps, so I was both excited and honored to have been selected!

Here is the card I made:

My card base and mats are SU Garden Green and the patterned paper is from the Bo Bunny Autumn Song 6x6 pad.  The wonderful stamp I got to showcase is Grumpy Fae With Acorn On A Mushroom by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff.  I love Mitzi's artwork and Sweet Pea Stamps has lots available as rubber stamps. I colored the image with my Copics, of course.  I took a little license and turned the plain mushrooms into whimsical toadstools.  I added some Liquid Pearls to the spots on the toadstools.  I also added some Crystal Stickles to the wings. I kept my card design very simple to showcase the image more.  A few roses from my stash and a punched butterfly finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you enjoyed my project.  Thanks to Lynette and the Sweet Pea Stamps team for having me as a Guest Designer!

I'll be back a little later for this month's Digi Bells blog hop! The new digi being released is one you won't want to miss!  See you soon!!

Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Hi there!  Happy (very early) Friday! Hope you had a great week and you have fun plans for the weekend!  It's likely to be more of the same for me, since I'm still not that mobile, but hoping it will still be a good time.  I am here early to post my DT card for the Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz site.   I've got a couple of other fun posts later, so I hope you will pop back if you have time.  Anyway, our theme this week is "anything goes" with the end of the month option to add a Christmas twist.  I try to do this when I can so I can build up my holiday card stash before the press is on. You can do anything you'd like this week, but please remember to have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand).

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Riding Hood Red and the patterned papers are from the Melissa Francis Deck the Halls 6x6 pad.  The beautiful image is Poinsettia Fairy from Delicious Doodles.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added lots of Red and Gold Stickles for added sparkle.  Two pretty gold bead caps and a 3D poinsettia sticker finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Alcohol Markers Challenge and check out the gorgeous creations from my wonderful teammies, Dawn, Penny and Kathi!  We hope you will play along!  It doesn't get easier than "anything goes".  Delicious Doodles is sponsoring the June Challenges.  Teri is offering the lucky winner 4 digis of their choice from her shop.  She has loads of fantastic digis there, so check it out!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
The Corrosive Challenge #202 (favorite coloring medium; mine is Copics)
Left of Center Creative Challenges #34 (use metal;  I used metal bead caps)
Fab 'n' Funky Challenge #222 (Christmas)

Elisabeth Bell's World June/July Challenge

Good morning!  Happy Wednesday!  How has your week been so far?  Mine has been quiet.  I'm gradually adding back a little crafting, but still can't sit as long as I'd like.  I know I'll get there. I just have to be patient, which is not really my strong suit!  Anyway, I am here today with my DT post for this month's Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge.  The theme this time is "summer".  Perfect, right?  Elisabeth has so many wonderful stamps depicting a summer theme, so this should be easy peasy!

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Bermuda Bay and the fun beachy patterned papers are from the Echo Park Summer Bliss 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is Little Best Friends from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection.  I printed it on MiC blending card and colored it with my Copics.  I added in the sand and the sky with my Copics, too.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few sparkly 3D shell stickers finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Live for Today

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  Hope your week is going OK so far.  It was quite a stormy night here, but although it is still raining, there is no thunder, at least at the moment.  I am popping in quickly this morning to share a card I made for a couple of challenges.

Here is what I made:

My doily easel card base was cut from Olive cardstock using the Doily Easel Card 2 cut file generously shared as a freebie by Bird's Cards.  The patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose Mabel 6x6 pad.  The gorgeous stamp is Posy by Norma J. Burnell for Sweet Pea Stamps.  I was lucky enough to have won the rubber stamp on Norma's Facebook page.  I stamped it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added a bit of Stickles here and there for some sparkle.  The sentiment is from A Piece of Heart. Thanks to Sharon, who shared it as a freebie on her blog here.  I didn't add any more embellishments so the image could take center stage.

Here is a close up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Looking forward to visiting with you a little later this morning.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Sweet Pea Stampers (shaped cards)
Fab 'n' Funky Challenge #221 (shaped cards)

Good morning!  Happy Monday!  Hope you had a great weekend and your week is off to a terrific start!  My weekend was quiet, as expected.  I didn't get much crafting done, but I did manage to make a card for a couple of challenges I enjoy doing.

Here is my card:

I made up a Christmas card.  You can never have too many in your stash before the rush comes!  My card base and mats are SU Riding Hood Red and the patterned papers are from the Carta Bella Festive 6x6 pad.  The beautiful scene is A Robin's Christmas from Delicious Doodles.  I colored it with my Copics and added some Star Dust Stickles to make the snow sparkle.  The sentiment is a Flourishes stamp.  A punched border, some olive satin ribbon and a few gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the scene:

Get Well Soon, Paulette!

Good morning!  Happy Sunday!  Hope you've had a great weekend so far!  I am here this morning with something very special.  If you follow the Create With TLC blog, you will know that the poor Paulette had a bad fall last week and dislocated and broke her ankle in three places! She has since had surgery and has to be in a big heavy cast for many weeks, followed by a long recovery period.  You can read all the updates on Paulette on the Create With TLC blog.  Paulette's wonderful daughter, Bri is keeping the show going on the blog and keeping us all updated and for that we are enormously grateful.

Some of Paulette's current and former DT members are getting together today with a blog hop to send Paulette lots of encouragement and to let her know we are thinking about her and wishing her a speedy and complete recovery.  We have all created projects for her using some of the many freebies she so generously shares with her followers each and every day.  There will also be a Linky set up on the blog, so if you would like to create an encouragement or get well project for Paulette, you will also be able to add it there.

If you arrived at my blog from Karen's blog, you are right on track.  If not, you may want to start at the beginning with Candy's blog, so you don't miss anything.

With that introduction, I will get onto my card for Paulette:

My card base and mats are SU Pretty in Pink and the patterned papers are from the Authentique Flourish 6x6 pad.  The cute vintage image is from Create With TLC.  It's called Playing Doctor.  I colored the whole little scene with my Copics.  The sentiment is also from Create With TLC.  A couple of paper flowers and a few gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the vintage image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Your next stop on the hop is Ileana.  Enjoy the rest of the hop!

Get well soon, Paulette!  We miss you!

In case you get lost, here is the whole list:

Desire - Doing Life
Carla -  Carla's Stamping Spot (you are here)
Ileana - Sparkling Pink
Hetty - Craft Chaos

I am entering my card in the following challenge:
