Some Exciting News (and a Card)

Good morning!  Happy Monday!  Hope you had a great weekend and your week is off to a terrific start!  I have some exciting news to share today, so I'll get right to it!  I was asked to join the design team for the brand new Ditzie Digi Design Challenge blog!

The owner of That Craft Place, Lisa Horton, has started her own digi shop on Etsy called Ditzie Digi Design and it's filled with cute, quirky and sassy images and some great digi papers, too.

Now for the chance of winning a Prize!

We are launching a fortnightly challenge starting on Sunday, April 6th and every day leading up to the launch, we've been doing a "meet the DT" post on the Challenge Blog.  If you visit each of the new DT members' blogs and comment on their announcement every day until the Challenge Blog starts on April 6th, your name will put in the hat for a prize draw!  The winner will receive £10 to spend at Ditzie Digi Design Etsy shopThere will also be spot prizes for other commenters, so make sure you say hi to all the ladies when they are featured!

By the way, I am the 10th DT member to be announced, so if you haven't left a comment for the other ladies before me, be sure to visit the Challenge Blog to find out who they are and then visit their announcement post to be in the running for the fantastic prize!

Here is a card I made with one of the fabulous digis from the shop, called Sassy Girl Ronnie:

My card base and mats are SU Cherry Cobbler and the patterned papers are from the Carta Bella Beautiful Moments 6x6 pad.  Ronnie is colored with Copics and I added sparkly Stickles to her jewelry.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC and the sketch is #88 from Papertake Weekly

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start and you have fun plans for the rest of it!  It finally stopped raining here, so there's the possibility for being outside.  Hope so.  Anyway, I am here with my DT post for this week's Sketch Saturday Challenge.  We are sponsored this time by The Doodle Garden, who is offering the winner their choice of three digis.

This week, it's "anything goes" for the sketch.  You can choose any sketch from #216 to #302.  There is a tab on the blog with all the archived sketches. Please share which sketch you used in your blog post.

I chose #222 for my card.  Here it is:

Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a good week and you are looking forward to a fun weekend!  It's pouring down rain and windy here, but at least it's pretty warm.  It's a perfect for staying in and coloring!  First, I am here with my DT post for the Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz.  Since it's the last Friday of the month, the theme this week is "anything goes" with the optional twist of making a Christmas or Winter holiday card.  You may create anything you'd like, but please remember your project must have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand).

Here is my card:

I decided to go with a Christmas card for my stash. My card base and mats are SU Pool Party and the patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye All is Bright 6x6 pad.  The sweet image is Fairy Merrily from the Elisabeth Bell Digital Collection.  I turned her into a Christmas fairy!  She is printed on Hammermill card and colored with my Copics.  I added some Gold Liquid Pearls and Red Stickles for some added detail.  Some taffeta ribbon, a few pearls and a shimmery poinsettia from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Here is my card:

Sorry about the darkness of the photo.  I am having some trouble with my camera at the moment.  My card base and mats are SU Pool Party and the patterned papers are from the Kaisercraft Enchanted Garden 6.5 x 6.5 pad.  The beautiful image is Sisterhood by AuroraWings.  Mitzi generously shared it as a freebie for the grand opening of her challenge blog.  I printed it on Hammermill Digital Color Cover Stock and colored with my Copics.  I added some Star Dust Stickles for some sparkle.  A bit of satin ribbon and a few flowers from my stash finished my card.

Little Miss Muffet Challenge #82

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  Hope all is well with you so far this week!  I am here, as always on Thursdays, with my DT post for Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  We have a brand new challenge for you this week!  The theme is the ever-popular "anything goes", so we hope to see lots of your wonderful creations this time around!

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Marvelous Magenta and the patterned paper is from the Kaisercraft Botanical Odyssey 6.5 x 6.5 pad.  I created the focal image by stamping and masking  the background elements and the main image.  This was one of our challenges at the Coloring Retreat this past weekend.  I used three stamps from the Make it Crafty Spring Scene Collection (Spring Branch, Spring Swing and Spring Pebble Ground) for the scene and Taylor from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  These are all available from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  Once the whole scene was done, I colored it with my Copics.  I did a little practicing of my clouds, too.  I added a bit of Glossy Accents to the glass in her hand.

Here is a close-up of Taylor:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog and check out the beautiful creations from the rest of the Little Misses and our wonderful guest designers, Danni and Dee.  We hope you will play along! Picture Perfect Day

Hi again!  I'm back with another super quick post today.  I wanted to share a card I made for a couple of challenges and one is ending today, so here I am.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Bermuda Bay and the patterned paper is from the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes 6x6 pad.  I didn't think I'd ever use this particular sheet in the pad as it's not really my cup of tea, but one of the challenges wants us to show our ugly papers so it worked for me.  The adorable image is Picture Perfect from Tiddly Inks.  I had the great pleasure of meeting Christy, the talented artist who creates these sweet stamps, at the coloring retreat this past weekend.  Of course, it would have been just wrong of me not to purchase a bunch of her cute digis!  I printed Wryn on Hammermill Color Cover Stock and colored her with my Copics.  I framed her with a Polaroid Frame that I cut with my Cameo using a file from the Silhouette store.  I popped that up over a film strip frame that I also cut with my Cameo.  The top sentiment is from Create With TLC.  The Happy Birthday was stamped.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Tiddly Inks Challenge #129 (happy birthday)
Tuesday Morning Sketches #242 (sketch)
Loves Rubberstamps Challenge #96 (show ugly paper)
Charisma Cardz Challenge #6 (birthday girls)

Here is TMS-242:

Thanks for stopping by again!  I'm almost caught up so I will be around shortly to visit.

Have a great day and see you soon!

Style is Eternal

Good morning!  Happy Wednesday!  We're halfway to the weekend!  Because I was away, it seems like it should only be Tuesday, but Wednesday it is!  I'm popping this morning with another project I did for my GD spot over at the Make it Crafty FB group.  March Challenge #7 is to make a "card in a box".  I've seen these popping up everywhere lately, but I had never made one.  I roughly followed this tutorial, but adjusted the measurements a bit to make it work for me.

Here is my card in a box:

From the side:

 Front view close-up:

and finally, the Carefree Women alone:

The box and mats are SU Melon Mambo and the patterned papers are from the Webster's Pages Trendsetter collection.  I used Carefree Elise, Classy Victoria and Groovy Rachel from the Make it Crafty Carefree Women collection.  I printed them on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored them with my Copics.  They were cut out with my Cameo and mounted on the box.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few mod dimensional felt flowers finished my box.

Thanks for stopping by!  If you love all things Make it Crafty as much as I do, you should head over to the Make it Crafty FB Group and join up, if you haven't already.  There is always fantastic inspiration from the amazingly-talented Make it Crafty DT, as well as a fun monthly challenge.  You still have a couple of days to get in your card-in-a-box project for this month's challenge!

Have a great day and see you soon!

Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Hi there!  I'm back this evening with a second post for this week's Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz.  Normally, I wouldn't post my card until tomorrow, but I'm posting early this week because I still have lots to do before my trip.  I promised more details on that, so here they are.  I am going to Dallas tomorrow for a Coloring Retreat! Zoe from Make it Crafty and Barbara from Little Miss Muffet Stamps have organized a wonderful weekend of coloring with friends!  There are about 20 people getting together to color, color, color!  It will be wonderful to meet some of my on-line friends and a few of my teammies, too!  These ladies are all awesome colorists, so I hope to pick up some tips from the pros! No matter what, I know it will be fun!

Anyway, back to my post.  The theme for this week's challenge is a color inspiration (from Seeds).  Here is the color palette we are working with.  Please note that the colors do not have to be an exact match, but you still must have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) on your project.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Rose Red and the patterned papers are from the Webster's Pages Plum Seed collection.  The cute image is Shopping Day by Time For Tea Designs for Whimsy Stamps.  I was lucky to have won this stamp when it was released!  I stamped her on MiC Blending Card an colored her with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A few sparkly gems finished my card.
