Candy Cane Dreams

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a great week and you have fun plans for the weekend!  Can you believe that tomorrow is the 1st of June already?  Where does the time go?  Wasn't it just January? Anyway, I am here to share my DT card for this week's Copic/ProMarker Challenge at The Outlawz site.  It is the last Friday of the month, so the theme is the ever-popular "anything goes" and we offer up the option to put a Christmas twist on it, if you'd like.  That is not a requirement for the challenge.  The only thing that is a requirement is to have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand).

Here is my card:

I decided to get back to the Christmas twist this month. My card base and mats are SU Riding Hood Red and the patterned papers are from the Basic Grey Aspen Frost 6x6 pad.  The fun image is Peppermint from MayzyArt.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added some Red Stickles to the ornaments on her shoes and necklace and Glossy Accents to the holly berries in her hair. The sentiment was a freebie on Whimsy Stamps Facebook page last October.    Some Ice White Pearl Pen accents, two sparkly holly stickers and an olive satin bow finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/ProMarker Challenge and check out the gorgeous creations from my teammies, Jen, Linda and Dawn!  We hope you will play along!  The May challenges are being sponsored by 2 Cute Ink.  One randomly-selected participant in this month's challenges will win 3 digistamps of their choice from 2 Cute Ink.  There are also lots of site-wide prizes up for grabs when you enter the challenges at The Outlawz!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Sunday Sketch & Stamp #158 (Marie's sketch)
MayzyArt Challenge #018 (sweets)
Basic Grey Challenges #94 (inspired by a song; I chose Candy Cane Christmas from Darius Rucker)

Have a wonderful day and see you soon!

Little Miss Muffet Challenge #62 - Sketch Challenge

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  Hope you've had a great week so far!  I've been very busy, but I certainly couldn't have asked for nicer weather! Given that it's Thursday, it's time for another Little Miss Muffet DT post.  We have a brand new challenge for you.  This time, it's a sketch challenge.

Here is the sketch to follow:

Here is my take on the sketch:

My card base and mats are SU Sage Shadow and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks 6x6 pad.  I merged two adorable images from Little Miss Muffet Stamps - Sage as Annie Oakley and Dill as Jesse James.  I printed the merged image onto Make it Colour Blending Card and colored them with my Copics.  I added some Stickles to the stars and other metal bits and some Glossy Accents to Annie's glasses.  I cut out the image and a mat with my Cameo.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A feather in Jesse's hat, anchored by a tiny gem, and a pair of stitched leather cowboy boots from Jolee's (I think) finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the merged image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog and check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the DT and our wonderful guest designers, Petra, Stephanie and Deanne!  We hope you will play along!  You have until Tuesday, June 11 at 11:59 PM to enter your creation.  If  you use a Little Miss Muffet stamp or any Pollycraft image, you can enter with "anything goes" as the theme and you can enter as many times as you'd like.  If not, please follow the theme and enter only once.

Copic/ProMarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  The weekend is nearly here and for those in the US, it's Memorial Day weekend with an extra day off!  Hope you've had a good week and you have fun plans for the weekend! I've got a lot going on today, so I'll make my post brief.  I am here to share my DT card for this week's Copic/ProMarker Challenge at The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is "one layer cards".  We want to see images colored on the card base or no more than one layer above the card base.  Don't forget that there must be coloring with alcohol markers (any brand).

Here is my card:

This was a really hard challenge for me!  As you know, I love my patterned papers and layers and I rarely go the CAS route with my cards.  The image and sentiment are from the Write, Paint, Create set by 2 Cute Ink for Whimsy Stamps.  Heidi, from 2 Cute Ink, is sponsoring our challenges for the month of May.  I stamped the image and sentiment directly on the card base of XPress-It Card and colored the image with my Copics. I added some Fruit Punch Stickles to the pool of paint and tip of the paintbrush for a little sparkle.  That is it!  Clean and simple - lol!

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/ProMarker Challenge and check out the fantastic CAS creations from the rest of the DT!  They do this style far better than me, as you will see!  We hope you will play along!  As I mentioned, our May challenges are being sponsored by 2 Cute Ink.  One randomly-selected participant in this month's challenges will win three digistamps of their choice from Heidi's 2 Cute Ink store.  There are also lots of site-wide prizes up for grabs when you enter the challenges at The Outlawz!

Copic/ProMarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good afternoon!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a great week and you have fun plans for the upcoming weekend!  I am late posting today because I have had major computer problems.  It seems some nasty malware snuck onto my computer and I've spent all day scanning, restoring and updating.  I think it's better now, but I am definitely going to keep an eye on everything for awhile. Not a fun way to spend the day! Anyway, I'm here to post my DT card for this week's Copic/ProMarker Challenge at The Outlawz.  The theme this week is "May flowers".  You can interpret this as you wish, but you must have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) on your project.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Baja Breeze and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Kate & Co. Cambridge Court 6x6 pad.  I used some Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight diecuts to frame the bottom DP panel and the main image.  The sweet image is Bella Sole Love Letters by Elisabeth Bell for Whimsy Stamps.  I stamped her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added in a cloudy sky and some grass, also done with Copics.  I added tiny pearl accents to her dress, the flowers and the corners of the diecuts using my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen. The sentiment is computer-generated.  A cluster of Wild Orchid Crafts roses and two sprays of pearl beads finished my card.

Here is a close up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/ProMarker Challenge and check out the gorgeous floral creations from the rest of the DT.  We hope you will play along!  The May challenges are being sponsored by 2 Cute Ink.  One randomly-selected participant in the challenges will win 3 digistamps of their choice from the 2 Cute Ink shop.
