Mo's DP2 Challenge - Straight From The Heart

Good morning!  It's Thursday and you know that means it's time for another fun Mo's Challenge.  Today is bittersweet for me as this is my last post as a member of Mo's Challenge DT.  It's hard to believe that six months flew by so quickly!  I feel like it was just yesterday that I joined the DT.  I sure will miss working with the wonderful ladies on the team and I am grateful for the opportunity to have designed alongside these super-talented designers for the past six months.   You all know I love Mo's images, so you will definitely still be seeing lots of Mo's creations here on my blog.

OK.  On to this week's challenge.  The theme is "straight from the heart".   Whatever this means to you, as long as you use a Mo's image, you are good to go.

Here is my card for the challenge:

I started with a card base of SU Soft Sky and layered patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Follow Your Heart Be Happy 6x6 pad.   My sweet image is Jack and Ginger from Mo's Digital Pencil.  You can find it in Mo's store here.  I printed it on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored it with my Copic markers.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I thought it was perfect for the theme.  I added some trims from a couple of Webster's Pages Trim Cards (sorry, I forget which ones).  A few Wild Orchid Crafts roses finished my card.

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday #213 for my layout:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit Mo's Challenge blog and check out the gorgeous creations from the rest of the DT!  We hope you'll join in this week!  Don't forget, Mo gives away a $5 GC to her store for every 25 entries in each week's challenge!  You can't win if you don't enter!

Have a great day and see you soon!

Heartfelt Creations Design Team Alumni Blog Hop

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  It's the last Tuesday of the month which means it's time for another Heartfelt Creations Design Team Alumni blog hop!  Each month, several former Heartfelt Creations designers get together and share projects made with some of our favorite Heartfelt Creations products.  If you arrived here from Olga's fantastic blog, you are in the right place.  If not, you'll want to go and hop from there since Olga is the first stop on the hop and you definitely won't want to miss her gorgeous creation!

Here is my card for the hop:

I started with a card base of GKD Green Apple and layered with patterned papers from the Kaisercraft The Lake House 6.5x6.5 pad.  I went back to one of my older favorite Heartfelt Creations stamp sets for my creation.  The images are from the HCPC 3362 Angel Trumpet Flower PreCut Set.  I think that set may be retired now, but you can check out all the gorgeous new collections at the Heartfelt Creations site here.  I stamped the flowers on Cryogen White and colored them with my Copics.  I stamped two hummingbirds and colored them both with Copics also.  I matted the image with a Spellbinders Lacey Squares die.  I cut out the hummers and layered them on Pop-dots over the flowers.  I added a little sparkle to the flower centers with a Spica pen.  A bow of May Arts silk ribbon finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by! Your next stop on the hop is Lisa's wonderful blog.  Be sure to leave a comment on every blog as you hop because one comment will be chosen at random from one of the blogs and the lucky commenter will win a $25 gift certificate for the Heartfelt Creations store!  You have until Friday, June 29 at midnight EDT to add your comment.  The winner will be announced on our blogs by noon on Saturday, June 30.

If you get lost along the way, here is the whole line-up for the hop:

Here is my card:

Although I live in Alabama now, I was born and raised in Massachusetts, home to historic New Bedford (whaling), Cape Cod (beaches and lighthouses and yummy lobster) and of course, the New England Patriots (who play in my home town of Foxborough).  I have depicted a few of those things on my card.  I started with a card base of GKD Lipstick Red and layered with patterned papers from the Webster's Pages Spring Market, Yacht Club & Country Estate Petite Papers pack.  My fun image is To The Lake from Saturated Canary.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.

Here is a close-up of the the cute image:

Little Miss Muffet Challenge #37 - Loads of Layers

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  I hope your weekend is off to a great start!  Looks like it will be another hot one here.  Before I venture out for the day, I am here to share the card I made for the Little Miss Muffet Challenge #37 - load of layers!  I tend to use a lot of layers so this wasn't too much of a struggle!

Here is my card:

I started with a square card base of SU Pool Party and layered with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Six by Six Dwell pad.  I managed to get up to 8 layers before I even added my image and sentiment!  The adorable image is Nutmeg from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I got her when she was a digi, but she is available now as a rubber stamp.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored with my Copics.

Here is a close-up of Nutmeg:

The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  Some Buttercup Liquid Pearls around the scalloped frame and a few pink buttons from my stash finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a terrific weekend whatever you've got in store for the next couple of days!  Be sure to pop back first thing tomorrow morning as we are starting the 2,000 Member Party at The Outlawz and you won't won't to miss a thing!  All the festivities kick off at 12:01 AM June 24 (that's one minute after midnight tonight EDT).  All the details will be available on the main page of The Outlawz under the 2,000 Member Party Tab!    Hope to see you there!

Still Hot

Hi there!  This is my second post today so if you are looking for my DT card for the Copic/Promarker Challenge (The Outlawz), please scroll down one post.  I am popping in for just a moment to post the card I made for Joan's Gardens Challenge #23.  The requirements were to have an "oldies but goodies" theme, use blue, add a corner embellishment and  make a card for a friend.  I knew right away I wanted to make a birthday card for a good friend of mine whose birthday is just around the corner.

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of GKD Turquoise Sea and layered with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Follow Your Heart Be Amazing 6x6 pad.  My fun "oldies but goodies" image is Stella - Still Hot from Bugaboo Stamps.  I think Stella is just a hoot and unfortunately, I can relate to this particular image and sentiment!  I'm pretty sure my friend will enjoy it, too!  I printed her on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added Glossy Accents to her glasses.  The corner embellishments were made   by trimming up a Cheery Lynn Dutch Square Doily die cut and adding a turquoise gem to each corner and that was it.

Thanks for stopping by again!  Have a great weekend and hope to see you again soon!

I started with a card base of SU So Saffron and layered with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Follow Your Heart Be Amazing 6x6 pad.  My fun image is Big Guy Grilling from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I printed him on Cryogen White and colored him with my Copics.

Here is a close-up of the big guy:

My fun sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is from the BBQ Chillin' Set.  I believe it is now in Paulette's new store here.  I punched a few stars with my Marvy star punches.  Some tiny buttons from my stash finished my card.

Kick Up Your Heels

Good morning!  How's your week going so far!  Hope it's been a good one!  I've been pretty tied up, so I haven't had much time for crafting or blogging, but I did manage to finish up a card I made for Mayzy Art Challenge #003.  The theme is black.  Yikes!  This sure was a challenge for me!  I rarely color in black except for accents, but I gave it a go.

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of SU Basic Black and layered with black patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two Blush 6x6 pad.  My Mayzy Art images was a freebie that Mayzy generously offered on The Outlawz site here awhile back.  I've been waiting for just the right chance to use her!  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics (all the Cool Grays).  I did add a tiny bit of color by adding Red Stickles to her head phones and MP3 player.  I added some silver accents to her belt and boots with a Letraset Silver Metallic Marker, which I was lucky enough to have won on Jak Heath's blog.  I also added a bit of Diamond Stickles to her collar, cuffs and skirt.

Here is a close-up of the image:

My sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  A triple-loop bow of stitched ribbon finished off my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day and hope to see you again soon!Photobucket

You Are F.I.N.E.

Good morning!  Happy Hump Day!  Have you had a good week so far?  Hope so!  I've got another busy afternoon, but before I head out, I'm here to share a card I made for two challenges: Jackson's Digital Expressions #8 (anything goes - inks and such) and Tuesday Morning Sketches #150 (use sketch and black, Kraft and one other color).

Here is TMS #150:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Basic Black and layered with patterned paper from the Basic Grey Olivia collection.  I flipped the sketch to vertical for my card.  The elegant image is Evening Gown from Fine Arts by Robert Jackson.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with my Copics. It's a little hard to see, but I added some Stickles to the rose in her hair and used my Sand Spica pen to give her shoes and bag a little shimmer.
Here is a close-up of just the image:

The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I added Kraft-colored pearls to the scallops around the image.  A Kraft taffeta bow and a single Wild Orchid Crafts rose finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day and hope to see you again soon!

Summertime

Hi again!  I know I said I was going to be busy all day and I wouldn't be around, but I was able free up a little time to finish a card I was working on for a few challenges.  I wanted to come back and share it because one of the challenges is ending soon.  My card is for the Corrosive Challenge #151 (feeling punchy - use two or more punches or dies), Seems A Little Sketchy #15, The Squirrel and The Fox #19 (summer) and Bunny Zoe's Monthly Challenge (girls, girls, girls).

Here is the sketch:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of GKD Red Hot and layered the sketch panels with sparkly patterned papers from the K & Co. Citronella 12x12 pad.  My adorable image is Berry Betsy from Mayzy Art.  She was one of three "fruit" girls that Mayzy generously offered as freebies for subscribers to Through The Craftroom Door on-line magazine.  They were in the most recent issue.  If you haven't checked out this fabulous magazine yet, you are really missing out!  Colleen Holmes, the founder and leader of The Outlawz, is the new owner of TTCRD and her first issue was packed with wonderful articles and projects. Be sure to check out Mayzy's Etsy shop, too! She has lots of cute images that are a blast to color!  OK, back to my card.  I printed Betsy on Copic X-Press It Blending card and colored her with my Copics.  I added some polka dots to her dress with my Sharpie Paint pen.

Here is a close-up of Berry Betsy:

I used Spellbinders Petite Ovals dies to cut out and mat the image.  I punched a trellis with a Martha Stewart deep edger punch.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  Some gingham ribbon, a button and a few felt flowers from my stash finished my summery card.

Thanks for stopping by again!  I always love it when you visit!  Have a great night and I look forward to seeing you soon!
