CASE Study #27 and Play Date Cafe Challenge 69

Morning!  What a busy week!  I'm finally getting a chance to post a card!  Today I am sharing a card I made for CASE Study Challenge #27.  This week is a special challenge.  The CASE Study blog has paired up with The Play Date Cafe Challenge blog to host a combined challenge with lots of inspiring creations and some awesome prizes!

There was still an inspiration card from the CASE Study February Muse, Eva Dobilas, but we were to focus on three colors, taken from Eva's beautiful card, that are the colors for the Play Date Cafe Challenge #69: red, green and black.

Here is the inspiration photo for both challenges:

Here is my card:

I used the PDCC challenge colors.  I kept Eva's layout and also started with a shaped (Spellbinders Curved Rectangles) Kraft base.  I used various papers from the Basic Grey Scarlett's Letter collection for everything.  The bottom layer was punched with a SU scallop border punch.  The butterfly was punched from DP with a Martha Stewart punch.  The flower was created using Tim Holtz's Tattered Florals die and the leaves were cut with one of the Elegant Single Leaves dies from Heartfelt Creations.  The black flourish was cut with the Cuttlebug Damask Frame die. I used Spellbinders Petite Ovals Nestabilities for my main panel. The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Botanical Dreams (by Asela Hopkins) and it was stamped onto a neutral DP with Memento Tuxedo Black.  A few Queen & Co. black pearls finished it.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a fantastic weekend!
